The August inventory of sacred art monuments in former Livonia, present-day Latvia, has been completed.
The inventory was carried out by: Dr Wojciech Walczak (team leader), Dr Marcin Zgliński (Head of the Catalogue of Art Monuments in Poland), Dr Dorota Piramidowicz, Mgr Katarzyna Uchowicz, Dr Katarzyna Wiszowata-Walczak and mgr inż. Krzysztof Wiszowaty.
As part of the project we inventoried 10 churches, including Aglona and its monastery archive, as well as interesting collections at the museum in Rundāle.
The project was funded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education under the National Programme for the Development of Humanities. Project title: Inventory of Sacred Art Monuments in the Eastern Lands of the Former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth: The Livonian Voivodeship, agreement no. 0045/NPRH3/H11/82/2014.
