Institute for Research on the Cultural Heritage of Europe completes three major digitisation projects

In 2018-2019 the Institute carried out an agreement with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to support activities popularising science. These funds enabled the following projects to be completed:

A) Online publication of Polonica held in St Petersburg archives. Lublin castle-court (grodzki) record book, 1610-1612

Strona tytułowa Księgi lubelskiej

B) Online publication of the Przemyśl castle-court (grodzki) records held at the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv

This is a multi-year project to digitise and describe fond 13 of the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv and to place it in the Digital Repository of Polonica. Thanks to funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, we already have more than 300,000 files of archival material, which we are gradually describing and putting online with free access.

C) Acquisition of digital copies of archival Polonica from Riksarkivet in Stockholm. STAGE 3

Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 300 described cases have been published online. More than 3,300 copies of archival documents from the Polonica fonds at Riksarkivet have been made.

Materials from these projects are available in the Digital Repository of Polonica (https://repcyfr.pl)
