Institute signs agreement with the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Minsk on cooperation and the digitisation of Polonica

Thanks to funding from the Minister of Science and Higher Education, it will be possible to carry out the project ARCHIVAL MATERIALS – POLONICA FROM THE NATIONAL HISTORICAL ARCHIVES OF BELARUS IN MINSK – digitisation and provision of access to scans in the Digital Repository of Polonica.

The project will digitise approximately 60,000 pages of records from Podlasie. It will complete the digitisation of document collections that was begun on microfilm (digital copies will now be made instead) from the following fonds: fond 1708: Brańsk records – Brańsk castle-court (grodzki) records – Acta Castrensia Branscensia – (1541-1750) – 196 files; Main Tribunal of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania: fond 1702, 15 files (1617-1738, 1835); Lublin castle-court records, fond 1725, 51 files (1469-1699); Mielnik castle-court records – fond 1726, 13 files (1537-1709); Drohiczyn castle-court records – fond 1715 – 219 files (1518-1744); Bielsk castle-court records – fond 1706, 15 files (1549-1694).
