The project aimed to bring to Poland scholars researching Polish Livonia (Latgale). The Jagiellonian University was the partner in organising the conference.
A scholarly session devoted to this subject was held in Kraków on 17–20 November. Over these few days, 29 papers were delivered.
The conference proceedings are scheduled for publication in 2011. The aim of the conference was to present the heritage of so-called Polish Livonia and to define the distinctive features that mark it out as part of the eastern lands of the former Commonwealth.
The project was co-financed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
